The Times can reveal that Charlotte, 8, and Ollie, 7, are from one of the country’s most devout Christian families.
It is irrelevant to the ad. The whole point is that children should NOT be labeled until they are old enough to chose. Therefore these are NOT Christian children...they are children. You can't even label children as atheist, although they might be correctly called that if they have no notion of a god, because they haven't had the chance to think about the subject yet.
The problem with religion is the indoctrination of children. I was baptised at birth and told I was Catholic. Was I Catholic?? Of course not. I had no idea what they were talking about until much later. Then I was confirmed in an Episcopalian church. I had a better idea of what was going on by then (age 12) but I was starting to argue and question what I was being told. I was still pressured into the ceremony. Was I Episcopalian?? Nope. Later I was even pressured into going on a Christian retreat as a last ditch effort to win me over (they treatened to sell the car they were saving for my 16th birthday). It is wrong to push kids to accept the beliefs of their parents.

Absolutely. This piece gives some refreshing advice: http://edwbaker.newsvine.com/_news/2009/11/22/3530757-dear-mariella-my-four-year-old-son-wants-to-be-baptised

Do you believe in the God of the Jews and Christians or not? THAT is the test of whether you are a Christian. And THAT decision can be made at any point in your life, just as any moral decision can be. If you wait until a child is old enough to decide for himself that stealing, cheating, lying and killing are wrong and that courage, honesty, charity and compassion are right, it will be too late.
I have known children believe in that god, fairies, invisible rabbits, Santa Claus and even more ridiculous things. Thankfully they have outgrown them all.
Morals have nothing to do with religion - atheists can be just as 'good' (and often more so) than believers.

Incorrect. The concept of right and wrong is much easier to grasp than the existence of an omnipotent spiritual being and the associated origins.

You incorrectly imply that things like courage, honesty, charity and compassion can only be arrived at through religion or belief in God.
If you indoctrinate children in a specific religion before they are old enough to make an informed choice on their own they may lack the objectivity to do so later.
You do believe people should be allowed to make informed choices don't you?

Brainwashing children with religion (or racism or anything else) should be considered child abuse. Sorry, but it has to be said.
